Who Is Big Kiwi Computing?
After a decade working with personal computers, and leaving MicroAge, a corporate IBM/Compaq/Apple reseller in the mid-late 1990s, we started Big Kiwi Computing to offer local small business owners, and residential customers, the same level of sales and support we knew that the larger companies received. Our original offerings followed our experience: break and fix (hardware repair), network installations/maintenance and application training.
Through 2005, we saw the rise and demise of many major players in the computer industry. IBM 's PC division was sold (to Lenovo) and Gateway, Compaq and eMachines were folded into other larger comanies. Dell and Apple continue to dominate their markets. Once direct sellers, Dell now has a retail channel, and Apple has their own set of stores.
Hey, its the computer industry. It's always been based on change.
Big Kiwi Computing continues on and, with added personnel, started offering web development services in 2006. It is a division based on (guess what) change, as constant improvements and necessary training reflect an ever growing platform in the World Wide Web. It has been our main focus since 2009.
